JAKARTA On Wednesday, December 6, Google launched the Gemini Nano Artificial Intelligence (AI) model. This model is officially added to the Google Pixel 8 Pro to support the Recording app.

With the presence of Gemini Nano, Pixel 8 Pro users can easily summarize the results of voice recordings. They can take advantage of this feature when attending a discussion, interview, and presentation.

From the 9to5google report, a summary feature has appeared in the 4,20231031.x version update. However, Gemini Nano's new capabilities have some shortcomings that Google still has to deal with.

First, this update requires a capacity that is quite burdensome because the Large Model Language (LLM) is to summarize and produce transcripts. This update requires more than 1GB of cellular data.

Next, this transcript has an unbarred time limit. When the user presses the Summary button in the Recorder app, they should estimate whether their recording is long.

If the recording is too long, the Recorder will give a warning that the Transcript is too long. Under the warning, there is an explanation that reads, "The summary works best with a moderate transcript."

Please note that this feature has just rolled out and has not been expanded globally. Only certain people can get the latest version of the Recording app and get a summary feature from Gemini Nano.
