YouTube Will End Normal Prices For All Loyal Customers In The US

JAKARTA Last July, YouTube said it would raise prices in the United States (US). The price changed from US$2 (Rp30.9 thousand) to US$13.99 (Rp216 thousand).

However, this price change does not apply to all users. Especially for YouTube loyal users who subscribe frequently, they will still be given a normal price of up to three months after the price increase is announced.

Supposedly, these loyal customers will get normal prices until October or November, but YouTube seems to have deliberately made the time longer. The reason is, this normal price is valid until December.

YouTube had said that prices for their loyal customers would not be raised before December. This means that users will feel a more expensive Premium price at the beginning of next year.

The validity period of this normal price has been reminded by Google. From a 9to5google report, YouTube sent emails to a number of users on Thursday, December 7 that normal prices will take effect in January next year.

With this announcement, YouTube will not discriminate its users anymore. All users will get the same price, which is IDR 216 thousand for Android users and USD 18.99 (IDR 294 thousand) for iOS users.

YouTube once said that this price increase was deliberately done to support artists and songrs. Even though it feels burdensome for a number of parties, this update will make YouTube maximize their features.
