The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has successfully conducted a trial of the integration and activation of the Republic of Indonesia's Satellite (SATRIA-1) in six locations, namely Manokwari, Jayapura, Ambon, Batam, Kupang, and Banjarbaru.

The SATRIA-1 trial which was held at around 13.30 WIB was also attended directly by the Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi on Thursday, December 7 via Zoom video conference.

"From Jayapura, how is the signal okay? Then where else do you come from? From Jayapura is good, right? From Kupang? Where else is it far away, from the islands? How is it from Manokwari? Is this still a test, Mrs. Indah, Mrs. President?" Budi said in his official broadcast.

President Director of PT PSN, Adi Rahman Adiwoso said that the implementation of the SATRIA-1 trial stage was part of the test for feasibility of operation, and was expected to be completed before the end of December.

"This zoom uses the SATRIA-1 Satellite and the SATRIA-1 network. It can be proven that everything has started running. We hope this can be completed technically next week, followed by administrative problems and hopefully before Christmas there will be Christmas gifts, sir," said Adi.

The integration trial stage was carried out after BAKTI Kominfo successfully launched SATRIA-1 in June 2023, successfully reaching orbit 146 East Longitude (BT) in November 2023.
