Escorting The 2024 Election, Kominfo Launches The Digital Book Of Peaceful Elections

JAKARTA - It has entered one week of the 2024 election campaign period, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology launched an electronic book for the Pedia Peace Election, so that the atmosphere of the digital space remains conducive and safe.

Director General of Public Communication Information Usman Kansong explained that in this Pedia Peace election, the public can find out the permanent voter list (DPT), check party members for legislative candidates, profile political parties participating in the election, as well as profiles of presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"The Pedia Peace election is expected to provide comprehensive knowledge to the public regarding various electoral matters, from the stage process to its implementation to then the community will take part in the role of the success of the 2024 election democracy party," said Usman at his press conference on Monday, December 4.

In addition, Usman mentioned that previously Kominfo had formed an anti-hoax task force (Satgas) and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN).

The anti-hoax task force will later be tasked with combing through information that is indicated to contain hatred, provocation, lies that could disrupt public order during the 2024 General Election.

Meanwhile, through this MoU with KASN, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics will monitor the neutrality of ASN in the digital space.

"Because ASN is only prohibited to dislike. To Like campaigns on social media is prohibited. Therefore, at the end of October there was an MoU between KASN and the Directorate General of Aptika," said Usman.
