JAKARTA Nothing Chats, an application developed by Nothing and Sunbird to support Android user chats with iMessage users, must be withdrawn from the Google Play Store.

Nothing said they would delay launches with further notifications. They will also fix some of the app's fitness problems, but some parties have found other problems with the app.

The iMessage support on Android has actually been promised by Sunbird for a long time. The company promised its presence since last year, but the construction of the app seemed unclear because there was no information whatsoever.

However, when the app began rolling out in stages on November 17 in several countries such as the United States, Canada, Britain, and the European Union, privacy concerns were found.

Android developer Dylan Roussel, in a 9to5google report, found that Sunbird performed a description and transmission of messages in Nothing Chtas using HTTP to the server synchronizing the FurFirebase.

Roussel said that Sunbird stores all user messages in the plain text and is unencrypted. Not only that, but the company also has access to messages using Sentry, a debugging service.

Sunbird had defended itself through their X account that access to Sentry was part of the error, but Roussel was able to prove that Sunbird pretended to get their fitness in their message.

If the company can access Sentry, then the company has tricked its users. Sunbird and Nothing keep voicing that their apps are so secure and use encryption-to-end, but all discoveries are very contradictory.

It is not yet known how long Nothing Chats will be detained for its launch. So far, Nothing has only said that they will work further with Sunbird to fixbug problems so that their app can be used by all Nothing Phone (2) users.
