JAKARTA Two Super Tucano planes crashed in Pasuruan, Central Java on Thursday, November 16. This aircraft is being used for routine formation exercises according to confirmation from the Indonesian Air Force.

Reportedly, the plane that crashed at 12.00 WIB numbered TT-1311 and TT 1303. Both of them crashed after colliding in the Mount Bromo area. The cause of the collision of the two aircraft is not yet known, but an investigation is underway.

The Super Tucano aircraft is a turboprop fighter made by Embraer, a Brazilian airline. This aircraft is used according to its design objectives, namely for light attack missions, close air support, and combat training.

This aircraft is 11.38 meters long with a wingspan of 11.14 meters and a height of 3.97 meters. The plane with the official name Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano uses the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-68C turboprop engine with a thrust of about 1,600 horsepower.

Super Tucano is capable of flying at a maximum speed of about 590km/hour and an economic speed of around 520km/h. Aircraft that can accommodate various weapons such as air rockets, napalm bombs, guided bombs, and these missiles have a distance of up to 4,820 kilometers.
