JAKARTA - Google announced that it is starting to roll out a new artificial intelligence (AI)-supported feature to Google Photos, to help you tidy up the gallery.

In an announcement on its official blog, Google said that this feature will group similar photos and smartly set screenshots and documents into albums, making it easy for you to find them.

Whether you're trying to capture a sunset or a big group photo, it may take several attempts to get a perfect photo. But all those photos can increase the bulk to your gallery. In fact, most of the gallery contains similar photos, "wrote Guillermo Krovblit, Product Manager, Google Photos.

So, to help make your gallery neater, Google Photos will automatically identify and group similar photos taken close to the Photo Stack and choose the top best choice of the moment.

While it can be done easily using AI, you still have the option to select your own photos as the top option, modify the stack, or turn off the Photo stack at any time so you can see everything in your Photo gallery.

More than that, now you can set a reminder on your calendar from the screenshot of the ticket or image of the brochure you picked up for the upcoming event.

Say you have a screenshot of the concert ticket on Google Photo, just click 'Settle it' to add it to the calendar, and you'll get a useful reminder to revisit the screenshot when you need it,' he added.

You can also choose to archive screenshots and documents automatically after 30 days, which will hide them from your main gallery but can still be accessed from their dedicated albums.

Photo Stack and refinement for screenshots and documents began rolling out to Google Photos on Android and iOS.
