Premium YouTube Prices Rise Drastically In Some Countries

JAKARTA - After raising prices in the United States last July, Premium's YouTube price has soared again. This increase has been expanded globally to several countries.

Gradually, YouTube began to raise their Premium levels in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the United States. However, not all countries in the region will feel this price increase.

So far, new YouTube prices have soared in several countries such as Argentina, Australia, Austria, Chile, Germany, Poland, and Turkey. YouTube also just inaugurated this price increase yesterday.

Users in these countries will see price increases on all YouTube-owned packages, namely Individual, Family and Student Packages. This package also still includes YouTube Music Premium.

For YouTube users who have subscribed, they will not be given any information until the next bill arrives. They just need to spend their subscription time until YouTube charges a new price.

From the 9to5google report, YouTube admits it was difficult to increase their Premium price at first. However, the company had no other choice but to charge the audience.

This needs to be done to improve Premium quality and support content creators and all artists watched through their platforms.

Currently, the price that YouTube has set for the Individual Premium package in Australia is 16.99 US dollars or around Rp. 269 thousand. This price is certainly more expensive than the Individual subscription package in Indonesia which is only Rp. 65,490 including taxes.
