JAKARTA - Lock codes to biometric authentication are a form of protection in the mobile system, especially the phone. There are some default applications that have both, but some don't.

Some users may feel they need a biometric code or authentication to maintain privacy. However, not everyone knows how to lock apps on iPhones. Here's how to lock apps on iPhones, citing from Makeuseof.

Lock Apps With Password

You can use Screen Duration to lock multiple applications on iPhone devices. To enable it, you need to go to Settings and search for Screen Duration.

Go to Application & Website activation, then select the enable menu. After that, tap Lock Screen Time Settings and enter a four-digit password. This password is different from the password to open the iPhone screen.

If so, open App Limits and Add Limits. After that, enter the Screen Duration code that has been created to access the page. You can lock all the apps or some of the desired applications.

Once you have a number of apps you want to lock in, set the time for the app limit, then tap Add to save code settings. Now, your app can be locked immediately after the set deadline ends.

Lock Apps With Face ID Or Touch ID

If you want to access locked apps more easily, you can use biometric authentication in the form of Face ID or Touch ID. This lockdown is different from Screen Duration.

To set biometric authentication, you need to set Face ID and Touch ID first. After adding Face ID and Touch ID, both can be used to lock the desired app.

Unfortunately, not all apps support lockdowns with Face ID or Touch ID. However, some popular apps like WhatsApp and Messenger can use these two iPhone built-in lockdown systems.
