JAKARTA – At the Meta Connect event, the company that oversees Instagram has kept its promise to bring generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) to all platforms.
One of the platforms they touched on was Instagram. With the use of generative AI, Meta will create new AI-based image editing and sticker creation features on Instagram.
They call this tool restyle, similar to the supercharged filter in generative AI according to Engadget.
With restyle, Instagram users can combine many photos with different looks.
Apart from the restyle, Meta also announced backdrop, an AI-powered green screen feature. Users can set the background by typing unlimited commands.
Both of these features will be equipped with AI tags so that people are not confused between real photos and generative AI results.
The details of this label have not been explained, but it will likely say, “Image generated by Meta AI.”
Even though they have been introduced, these two features do not yet have a definite release date. Meta can only say immediately.
