Foamstars Will Release Next Year, Open Beta Version Will Be Present On September 29

JAKARTA - The splatoon-like multiplayer shooter from Square Enix, Foamstars, received a new trailer and a release window for PlayStation.

"Foamstars, the upcoming 4v4 party games are for PS5 and PS4 where the players will fight with foam," wrote Kopilan Okaati, Foamstars Producer, Square Enix in the PlayStation blog.

In the trailer, the studio revealed that Foamstars will be released in early 2024 for PS4 and PS5, but current-generation console players can try it early with open beta starting September 29, and free to download from the PlayStation Store (without the need to subscribe to PS Plus).

Foamstars will offer two different 4v4 modes, namely the Smash the Star, which involves scoring seven KOs and beating the Star Players, as well as Happy Bath Survival, with two midfielders from each side fighting while two outside players providing support.

Furthermore, you will be able to choose one of the eight characters that can be played, including Beta, which will include characters that Soa, GUNGITO, Tonix, Jet Justice, Mel T, The Baristador, Rave Breaker, and Pen Gwyn can play.

Players involved in the beta will be given a thank you via an "exclusive cosmetic item" for Soa if you continue and download the full game when it is released next year.
