Asus Will Close Zenfone And ROG's Phone Business, Really?

JAKARTA - Asus will reportedly close its Android phone business, known for its Zenfone and high-end gaming phones ROG.

Taiwanese local media Technews, claims Asus has shut down Zenfone's division following their internal reorganization.

Employees working on the upcoming Zenfone devices will be combined into other division teams. With the closure of this business, phones made by Asus may become increasingly difficult to find in the market.

The news is actually not surprising, even though Asus is a technology giant that is also famous for its Personal Computer (PC), both Zenfone and ROG cannot beat their competitors.

The competitors themselves include Samsung and Google Pixel which are selling well on the market. Asus is not the only company that closed its cellphone business line, before, LG also did the same thing.

LG chose to stop the production of its smartphones to focus on other parts of its business. Until this news was published, Asus had not confirmed the information on the closure of his cellphone business, as quoted from BGR, Tuesday, August 29.
