JAKARTA - Bluesky brings four new capabilities for its mobile app and website, one of which is the new emoji voter and tab to see the user's favorites.

In the emoji voter feature, users can click on the smiling face icon in the composer window for a new post that will display a menu with hundreds of emoji icons.

Available in various categories such as Smiling, Face, Animals, Nature, Food, Drinks, Activities, Travel, Places, Objects, Symbols, and Flags. Select and add as many emojis as you want to new posts.

Furthermore, users can also see the posts they like by opening the Profile page on the website or on the mobile application.

Click the Suka tab and scroll down the page to see everything the user likes. Like X, posts that users like will be public on Bluesky.

However, the tab itself is not visible from other accounts, and App Programming Interface Access (API) is needed to view posts that users like through third-party applications.

Users can also browse the account profile page they follow and click the New Posting button. The composer window will suggest the symbol @ is followed by the account name if the user wants to refer to the account in their post.

Finally, users can access notifications in iOS and Android apps by clicking on the bell icon at the bottom of the screen and users can see who is now following their account, who likes one of the posts, and who commented on one of the posts.

Launching ZDNet, Tuesday, August 29, Bluesky is currently still in the beta version which is only available through a special invitation code. Users who want to join the waiting list must get an invitation from the user who has joined.
