BuanterOne, Space Internet Network with High Speed and Low Latency

JAKARTA - PT Dwi Tunggal Puta (DTP) officially launched BuanterOne which is a form of strong collaboration with OneWeb at the 2023 Indonesia Internet Expo & Summit (IIXS) event, which carries the theme High Speed Low Latency Space Internet for Indonesia.

The BuanterOne launch event was opened with remarks from Michael Alifen as Chief Executive Officer of DTP. In his remarks, he introduced BuanterOne as the fruit of DTP and OneWeb's efforts to bring the internet to a new level in Indonesia.

"Today, we are proud to state that BuanterOne is here to solve the problem of internet access in Indonesia which is still hampered by geographical challenges and limited infrastructure, especially in the 3T areas, frontier, outermost and lagging behind. In this way, educational facilities, health facilities and other public facilities can experience the equality of digital transformation proclaimed by President Jokowi", he said in his remarks.

OneWeb, a low orbit satellite communications company, is committed to bringing internet access to all corners of the world, one of which is Indonesia.

“In our journey to achieve this mission, we are very pleased to find such an amazing partner like DTP. DTP is OneWeb's first Exclusive Distribution Partner in the Southeast Asia region, and we are very proud of this collaboration. The event was also attended by Muhammad Arif Angga as General Chair of the Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII). He welcomed the presence of BuanterOne very well and thought that BuanterOne was an extraordinary innovation that gave new hope to ISP friends and businesses in the regions. 3T - foremost, outermost, and lagging behind in Indonesia.

DTP as the Exclusive Master Distribution Partner of OneWeb in Indonesia is very swift in preparing all the needs for launching the service, both in terms of technical and infrastructure. One of the infrastructure preparations that DTP has made is the construction of the 38th Satellite Network Portal in the world (SNP#38) located in Serang, Banten.

On this occasion, DTP also proudly announced that the SNP#38 development process has now reached its final stage, namely the Antenna Verification Test, and will soon be followed by the Hub System Commissioning. SNP#38 was built on a 10 hectare land and there are 18 Satellite Access Portals (SAP) or ground station antennas which are controlled automatically and are able to provide internet services with high-speed bandwidth and low latency.
