JAKARTA - After going through the beta test for months, Meta Platform Inc. finally launched a WhatsApp standalone app for wear OS Google smartwatch users.
Announced on Wednesday, July 19, Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg said that the WhatsApp app for Wear OS allows users to start new conversations, reply to messages and receive VoIP calls without requiring them to have their connected phones.

Please note that you can only link WhatsApp on Wear OS using the same phone number as the one used on your phone. But, you can only link your account via Android, not via iPhone.
At a Google I/O conference a few months ago, the search giant announced the release of the Wear OS WhatsApp application for the first time. However, at that time, the WhatsApp application was released as a beta version.
Now, the WhatsApp application on Wear OS can be downloaded by all users around the world, and is compatible with smartwatches running Wear OS 3.
