ST Telemedia Global Data Center Officially Launches Its First Data Center, STTT Jakarta 1

PT ST Telemedia Global Data Center (Indonesia) or PT STT GDC Indonesia, a data center service provider based in Singapore, officially launched its first data center facility, STT Jakarta 1 in Cikarang, West Java on Wednesday, June 21.

Having a land area of 18,000 square meters, this data center is said to be able to support IT capacity of up to 72 megawatts, with a supporting Jakarta 1 STT of up to 19.5 megawatts.

This new facility is the first building on the data center campus to be developed through a joint venture with leading Indonesian conglomerate Triputra Group and global investment company Temasek.

"STT Jakarta 1 not only provides important digital infrastructure with the highest global quality, but also offers different solutions to meet current and future computing needs, both the government and the company," said Lionel Yeo, Chief Executive Officer, Southeast Asia, STT GDC in his remarks in Cikarang.

Seeing the high level of digitalization in Indonesia and the introduction of 5G technology, the Jakarta 1 STT was built to support the long-term expansion of Indonesia's digital economy.

Data centers that are monitored for 24 hours and equipped with location movement tracking, as well as biometric access controls also serve a variety of cloud, technology, banking and finance needs, content, games, e-commerce, and other company customers.

In addition, this data center is also equipped with infrastructure that can accommodate the latest computing infrastructure, such as GPUs to support AI-fueled demand waves, including air and liquid cooling options.
