Apple Music Classical Launched For Android Users Globally

JAKARTA - After his debut on the iPhone, Apple has now launched the Apple Music Classical application for Android users on the Google Play Store.

This launch marks for the first time the company is bringing a special orchestral application to a non-Apple platform, and comes before the app is available for the iPad and Mac.

The Cupertino-based technology giant, United States (US), first launched Apple Music Classic in March, which offers its independent experience of finding and listening to classical music.

Apple Music Classics are separate from major Apple Music apps, but have a lot in common, such as navigation, fonts and handling of different metadata to make it easier for searches.

The app brings access to more than five million classic musical trends, including new high-quality releases, hundreds of curated playlists, thousands of exclusive albums, other features such as composite bios and deep dives in the work.

In addition, Apple Music Classic also makes it easier for users to search based on composers, jobs, conductors, catalog numbers and others.

Users can obtain more detailed information from editorial records as well as descriptions. They can also stream up to 192 kHz/24-bit Hi-Res Lossless which supports spatial audio and Dolby Atmos for certain tracks.

To use Apple Music Classic, users must first subscribe to Apple Music by selecting individual packages, students, family or Apple One.

Starting today the app is starting to roll out globally where Apple Music is available, except for China, Japan, Korea, Russia and Taiwan. Users must also have a version of Android 9 or something newer.

For information, this application is the fruit of Primephonic acquisition in 2021, a classic streaming service based in the Netherlands.
