JAKARTA - YouTube Music now brings support for "podcast" or podcast content playback for smart clocks that use the Wear OS operating system. This service is only available for the YouTube Music app version 5.54 for Wear OS. Quoting 9to5 Google in its report Friday 28 April, to be able to access podcasts via Wear OS, users can go to the "Download" option, after that swab to the bottom and select "Colluction". Then the "Podcast" option will appear at the bottom of the menu list after "Last Played", "Playlists", "Albums", "Artistics", and "Subscriptions" options. After selecting the "Pondcast" option, users can later view events that you have followed before, selecting automatic lists for new episodes and upcoming episodes. Users can also see a list of episodes that are fully available with "cover art". Wear OS users can get broadcast access from YouTube Music both streaming and those that have been downloaded on the device.

Especially for devices that have storage memory like Pixel Watch equipped with 32 GB of internal memory, this feature will certainly be useful for making it easier for users to listen to their favorite podcasts. With this new feature, YouTube Music is now finally able to compete with other applications on wear OS such as Spotify to provide more choices of podcast content for users. Even so, the "Podcast" feature from YouTube Music for wearOS is only available in the US and will be available in other countries in the future.
