ASUS Confirms That Rog Phone 4 Will Have A 6,000 MAh Battery

JAKARTA - Last year, the ROG Phone 3 smartphone had a large battery capacity of 6,000 mAh. In the latest leak, the successor to ROG Phone 3, namely ROG Phone 4, is also rumored to be equipped with the same battery capacity.

Only a few flagship phones have a battery capacity of 5,000 mAh, so 6,000 mAh is more than enough for the ROG Phone 4. It is also predicted that the battery capacity will not change any time soon.

So, seeing as the battery capacity has remained unchanged for three generations, ASUS has decided to use faster charging as a way to differentiate between the two phones.

According to the well-known info leaker from China, Digital Chat Station, the ROG Phone 4 will support 60W or 65W fast (wired) charging. This feature allows users to recharge the 6,000 mAh battery twice as fast as its predecessor which only supports 30W.

However, when compared to other competing gaming smartphones also launching this year such as the Black Shark 4 and Nubia Red Magic 6, 60W or 65W fast charging is much slower than 120W fast cable charging. On the other hand, the battery capacity is much higher than those of only 4,500 mAh.

ROG Phone 4 will also support reverse cable charging (reverse charging), Quick Charge 4, Power Delivery (PD). The phone is expected to be announced this quarter, at least four months earlier than the ROG Phone 3.

Just like other flagship smartphones, ROG Phone 4 will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset and already supports 5G networks. Its AMOLED screen is also expected to come with a refresh rate of 144Hz or higher and should run Android 11 OS.
