The Script to Bring Special Show in Jakarta in Man in the Arena Tour 2027

JAKARTA - The legendary Irish pop-rock band, The Script, is ready to bring the "Man in the Arena Tour" to Indonesia Arena, GBK, Jakarta early next year. This solo concert is part of their world tour series, "Man in the Arena Tour 2027."

Promoted by Color Asia Live, this concert is also part of the promotional series for The Script's latest single, "Man in the Arena," and is designed to provide a full-scale arena concert experience for Indonesian music fans.

The concert will take place at the Indonesia Arena, the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex, Jakarta, on Saturday, April 3, 2027. There will be a special guest star prepared for this show.

The clue given by the promoter regarding the guest star is a band. The official announcement will be revealed in the near future.

The presale ticket price starts from IDR 650,000 and will be sold in two stages through the official ticketing partner, TipTip.id, as well as www.thescriptjkt.com. Presale sales will begin on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 10.00 WIB, followed by general sales on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 10.00 WIB. Various global hits from The Script, including "Hall of Fame," "Breakeven," "The Man Who Can't Be Moved," and "Superheroes," will be the main attraction at the arena-scale concert. Not to mention, they will also perform songs from the latest era.

All of them will be presented through world-class stage, sound, and visual design specifically designed for the largest indoor arena in the GBK complex.

The promoter's representative said that his party was proud to be able to bring The Script back to Indonesia Arena. He called Indonesia Arena the most modern indoor arena in the GBK complex, while highlighting this concert as part of the promotion of The Script's latest single, "Man in the Arena".

The Script's lead vocalist, Danny O'Donoghue, through a post on The Script's official Facebook page, revealed that the lyrics of the song "Man in the Arena" were inspired by a famous speech by United States President Theodore Roosevelt.

This song carries the message that true respect is deserved for those who dare to enter the arena and fight, not for the critics who only stand on the sidelines. "Man in the Arena" is the lead single from The Script's upcoming new album, The User's Guide to Being Human, which is released on August 14, 2026.
