JAKARTA - Smartphone manufacturer from China, Vivo secretly launched Vivo Y31s as the first smartphone in the world to be powered by the Snapdragon 480 chipset from Qualcomm.

This chipset was introduced in early January and is the first Snapdragon 4 series to have an integrated 5G modem. This chipset is made for budget-friendly or entry-level cellphones, thus extending the scope of 5G support at lower end.

Apart from the new chipset, Launching Gizmochina, the specifications of this phone are identical to other Vivo phones in its segment. This device comes in a single storage configuration, namely 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

Vivo Y31s comes with an IPS screen measuring 6.58 inches Full HD + resolution (1,080 x 2,408 pixels). The screen offers a 90Hz refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 20: 7: 9. Weighing 185.5 grams, the Vivo Y31s has dimensions of 164.15 x 75.35 x 8.40 mm.
