JAKARTA - NOAH band is again holding a virtual music concert. This time they will use Unreal Engine (UE) technology in virtual production.

A virtual concert titled NOAH BEYONDmo 2021 will be held on January 9. Unreal Engine technology, usually used in the online game development application industry and the Hollywood film industry.

"This concert will be a milestone as well and will be an opening for others," said Upie Guava as show director, as reported by Antara, Thursday, January 7.

According to him, the UE technology used can enhance the virtual interaction experience in various photorealism visual effects in detail such as lighting, shadows, particle effects, weather, light reflection, and rich colors and contrasts.

Although not new, Upie admits this is the first time this application has been applied in a virtual concert. NOAH is considered right to try it.

"An example of using the Unreal Engine can be seen in the 'Mandalorian' series. This is a concert, but it's like a video clip so it has a cinematic side," said Upie.

The use of this cutting-edge technology did not give Noah any trouble. According to them, the challenge is precisely which song to play to maximize the Unreal Engine.

"If we don't have too much trouble, the most appropriate song list is to maximize this technology. Because of that, there are four layers, it should be more than 3-dimensional, it can move between views," said Ariel.

At the show, Noah will perform five songs consisting of four songs from the latest album and one old song. This concert will also become a new history in the Indonesian performance world.

Previously, NOAH had also held virtual concerts. At that time they used a 360 degree camera to provide the audience with a live music experience.
