JAKARTA - Chinese social media company TikTok on Thursday 9 February pledged to do more to address disinformation on its platform by adding more security features and expanding fact-checking measures. This is driven by the role played by state-controlled media and war in Ukraine.

Presenting his progress report on what he did to comply with the EU's improved code of practice of disinformation in the last six months, TikTok acknowledged the need to step up its efforts.
