Microsoft Store Secretly Arrival Apple Music And Apple TV Apps For Windows

JAKARTA - Apple Music and Apple TV applications have quietly arrived as preview versions in Windows 11. The app looks similar to the version available on macOS but slightly modified for Microsoft's Operation System (OS).

The preview was first reported by Twitter user @Alumia_Italia, then viewed by Thurrott. Apple Music and Apple TV preview versions can be downloaded from Microsoft Store, along with another preview application called Apple Device. With that app, users can manage Apple devices from their Windows PCs.

At the Surface 2022 event, Microsoft announced that Apple's list of apps will be present in Windows 11 this year, so it's not a surprise.

Apple's independent Windows media app has long been around, which recruited engineers to build in 2019. The app replaces iTunes on Mac, and the goal is to eventually replace it on Windows as well.

Launching Engadget, Friday, January 13, Apple TV works like an app on Xbox or Smart TV, giving access to Apple TV+ and Apple TV Channels, along with movies and TV shows from iTunes Store. Apple Music apps are almost the same as macOS versions but don't have a lyric feature.

As for Apple Device, it also replaces iTunes for synchronization and backup. Users can back up Apple devices, sync local media, and recover firmware without requiring iTunes.

These three new Apple apps require Windows 11 version 22621.0 or higher. Apple stated, installing one of these apps will prevent iTunes for Windows open.

Users have to delete apps to continue using iTunes. That doesn't necessarily mean bad, because iTunes for Windows doesn't really offer an amazing user experience.
