JAKARTA - NIO, a multinational automaker from China announced the launch of a new super fast charger at NIO DAY 2022, which takes place on December 24.

The new ultrafast charger is claimed to be able to charge the battery up to from 10% to 80% with an 800 V charge in just 12 minutes.
According to Nio, its new ultrafast charger can be accessed by all electric vehicle manufacturers and is publicly available. With the ability to generate a maximum charging current of 660 A, making it one of the highest powered chargers on the market.
For electric vehicles built on the 400 V platform, charging time takes about 20 minutes to reach the same charging level.
The NIO ultrafast charger is equipped with a 15.6-inch display and displays liquid cooling technology, which can help improve charger performance and durability by keeping it cool and working smoothly.
With a light cable and advanced cooling system, NIO chargers are designed to be easy to use and reliable for electric vehicle drivers with just one hand.
The new charger is expected to operate in March 2023, around the same time as the company's third-generation battery exchange station.
