JAKARTA - Amazon introduced "Create with Alexa" a feature that allows you to create and tell a story using Amazon's Echo Show device.

Create with Alexa was created using advances in conversational and generative artificial intelligence (AI) to empower young storytellers to build their own unique stories with colorful graphics, and enjoyable soundtracks.

“This is an experience where Alexa becomes your child's co-creator,” said Nico Bishop, a UX designer whose team builds customer experiences for “Create with Alexa.” in the announcement on the official Amazon website.

How the Create with Alexa Feature Works

Bishop explained, with this feature children simply say the words "Alexa, create a story", and follow with a few instructions. After that, Alexa will instantly create unique and original stories based on your child's preferences.

For each scene, Amazon's AI technology will also arrange the appropriate illustrations, background music and sound effects. Kids can choose characters, settings, and other variables to their liking.

For example, after a child tells Alexa by selecting a space exploration theme. They would then choose and name their own characters, for example an astronaut named Speedy and an alien named Fuzzy.

Then they chose a color theme, and chose a trait for the character, such as "happy". With that little input, Alexa works to create a 5 - 10 line story, which is told in five unique scenes complemented by sound and visual effects.

Even if the child chooses the same clue at different times, Alexa will still come up with a different story each time.

Once the story is finished, you can save it in their private media gallery to listen to it any time. Or, you can also share it with other people.
