JAKARTA - Lionsgate, an entertainment company from Canada, has expressed its desire to create an AAA game based on the John Wick franchise.

This was disclosed during an earnings call with investors made last Thursday.

According to Indiewire, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer has submitted a proposal for a video game based on the Keanu Reeves film.

"I don't want to get ahead of myself here, but we believe there's a big AAA game to be made of 'John Wick'," he said.

"We have submitted a proposal. We are certainly interested in moving it forward, but I don't want to say anything more about it at this time," he further explained.

However, Feltheimer notes that developing AAA games is something that requires a fairly large budget, "but passionate fans have been demanding it for years," he said.

Previously, there was already a video game from the John Wick franchise, which was released in 2020, namely John Wick Hex.

At the time, John Wick Hex was developed by Mike Bithell, Mike Bithell Games Limited, and published by Good Shepherd Entertainment.

While discussing the future "John Wick," Feltheimer said that the filmmakers behind the series have done a great job.

He says not only is it keeping the franchise alive, but filmmaker John Wick is making each film even more valuable.
