JAKARTA - The migration of analog broadcasts to digital TV has not been evenly distributed until now, only last night Jabodetabek got its turn. The Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate, said that after this his party was still looking at the readiness of all regions.

"As directed by the President, that the implementation of ASO will really pay attention to the readiness of all regions. Pay close attention to ASO so that it can run well nationally. So that after this, we will arrange to start from which area, whether from the provincial capital, or peripheral areas, we are compiling everything," Johnny told the media after the ASO Countdown event, last Wednesday, November 2 night.

Johnny said that nationally it would be completed by mitigating its impact first. "One by one, we will arrange it carefully, we will evaluate everything so that ASO can run well by mitigating all its impacts. In order to minimize the impact," Johnny explained.

Previously, Johnny stated that apart from Jabodetabek, there were four regions that first migrated to digital TV. "In addition to Jabodetabek, there are 4 regions that have gone first in March or April. There are 173 regencies or cities in Indonesia that do not need ASO, because they will be built fully digital immediately," said Johnny.

The area in question includes Riau Province for Dumai City, Bengkalis and Meranti Regency, Riau-4 broadcast area. Then, the broadcast area of East Nusa Tenggara-3 in three districts, namely North Central Timor Regency, Belu and Malacca. As well as the broadcast area of West Papua-1 in Sorong City and Sorong Regency.

Finally, Johnny said, to support community migration, it requires a Set Top Box (STB) to enjoy digital broadcasting on TV that does not meet digital standards.
