JAKARTA - Tesla has launched the latest J1772 wall connector as a charging solution for all types of EVs, be it Tesla or non-Tesla electric vehicles.

The wall connector, which is priced at $550, is claimed to be ideal for houses, apartments, hospitality properties, and even workplaces.

Tesla's J1772 offers a range of up to 44 miles added per hour, including 24-foot cables. Tesla also said that these wall chargers are perfect for indoor and outdoor use

"It can also share power to maximize existing electrical capacity, automatically distribute power and allow you to charge multiple vehicles simultaneously," Tesla wrote in a product caption on Tesla's Shop website.

Tesla also revealed that its J1772 Wall Connector is compatible with most North American electric vehicles.

"Tesla vehicles will require additional SAE J1772 Charging Adaptors to charge, which are included with all Tesla vehicles at the time of delivery," added the company owned by Elon Musk.

Tesla also provides options for commercial charging and allows developers, owners, or commercial real estate managers to purchase more than 12 J1772 Wall Connectors if they wish.

Tesla's launch of the wall connector J1772 for all types of electric vehicles was carried out before carrying out its plans to open non-Tesla Superchargers across the US.

Launching a report from Teslarati, in July, the White House said that Tesla will begin production of new Supercharger equipment that will allow non-Tesla EV owners in North America to use Tesla Superchargers.
