New Twitch Experiments Ask You To Pay To Save Messages In Chat

JAKARTA - Twitch, the most famous streaming platform announced that the company is experimenting with new ways for viewers to support its favorite streamers.

The two capabilities are Elevened Chat, which will be available today, which allows your messages to be seen in the chat column for longer periods of time.

Spectators on participating streaming channels can make payments once to increase their messages in chat.

Spectators can choose from 5 levels of support. Each price will determine the amount of time your message will be embedded.

Interestingly, from this capability, the creators will receive a 70/30 share of the Eleved Chat purchased by the audience, after taxes and fees.

The company says that Eleveted Chat may have a different price worldwide, because of local currencies. Review the details of your taxes and costs on your Payment History Dasbor.

If your channel is selected to participate, you will see an Eleved Chat icon in your chat, next to the defense icon.

Then, revenue generated from this experiment will appear in your analytics as "Experiment". From there, you will be notified of the Eleveted Chat in their activity feed, which includes the username of the contributor, the number of contributions, and messages.

The experiment will run for 4 weeks starting at the end of September, and for now, the Eleved Chat is not supported on mobile devices. You will only find and use the capabilities on the desktop.
