JAKARTA - The International Space Station (ISS) is planned to retire in 2031, and now NASA is preparing three new stations. At one of those stations, Starlab will have a room designed for a luxury hotel.

The chamber is the result of a collaboration between Hilton Hotel and Voyager Space that will design a crew inn and make it look like a suite room on Starlab.

It is claimed the Hilton Hotel will bring the company's famous hospitality expertise and experience to support the design and development of the crew suite over Starlab, helping human experience in space, making the extended period more comfortable.

With this collaboration, it will be a big change from a place to live on the ISS, which is said to be home to five bedrooms. However, sometimes it can accommodate 13 crew members and large amounts of equipment, making them feel more like crowded and narrow spaces.

"Starlab will be more of a goal, it will be a much more unique and artificial experience with the Hilton team's innovation, expertise, and global reach infusion," said CEO and Chief Voyager Space, Dylan Taylor.

"Voyager and Hilton are very focused on creating innovative solutions to the future of mankind and this partnership opens up new doors to what may be done for exploration and comfort-focused residences."

Launching Space, Friday, September 23, later, the selected stations will be used by NASA, and other government agencies, as well as private sector customers, including for tourism.

"For decades, discoveries in space have had a positive impact on life on Earth, and now Hilton will have the opportunity to use this unique environment to improve guest experience wherever people travel," said Hilton's President and CEO Chris Nassetta.

Voyager Space and Hilton Hotel will leverage creative design experts to develop the crew headquarters of Space Hospitality over Starlab, including communal areas, hospitality suites, and beds for astronauts.

In addition, the team will look for common opportunities for long-term efforts including the experience of astronauts from land to space, joint marketing, global branding, and other tourism, education, and commercial efforts.

For information, Starlab is scheduled to launch in 2027 on one flight, and will become a persistent manned commercial space station dedicated to conducting further research and encouraging commercial industrial activity.

This habitat is designed for four astronauts and will have the power, volume, and payload capabilities equivalent to the ISS.

The basic elements of the Starlab space station include a large inflatable habitat, designed and built by Lockheed Martin, metal node docking, power and propulsion elements, large robotic arms to serve cargo and payloads, and George Washington Cup (GWC) Science Park.

The GWC Science Park is a state-of-the-art laboratory system that will be a place of comprehensive research, science and manufacturing capabilities.
