The National Police Chief In The Case Of Police Shooting Police Is Not An Internal Problem

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the police shooting case that occurred at the South Solok Police was not motivated by internal problems.

So far, AKP Dadang Iskandar's motive for shooting dead the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Solok Police, AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari, because he did not like the crackdown on illegal mining in excavation C.

"I don't think it's an internal conflict problem," Sigit told reporters at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Friday, November 22.

The West Sumatra Police Propam is currently investigating AKP Dadang Iskandar. It is hoped that the real motive behind the police shooting police case can be revealed.

"The process has been investigated, we are deploying Propam," he said.

On the other hand, Sigit also emphasized that he would not tolerate these violations. Thus, strict sanctions will be given.

"However, for violations that cannot be tolerated, I ask only to take firm action," said Sigit.

Previously, the West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Suharyono stated that he would immediately fire AKP Dadang Iskandar as a member of the National Police. The sanction was in the aftermath of the shooting case against the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Solok Police, AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari.

The process of dismissing AKP Dadang Iskandar will go through the stages of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).

"Certainly his actions are firm, this week we are trying to have a PTDH (Dismissal with Respect) process," said Suharyono

The police shooting police case occurred at the South Solok Police on Friday, November 22 in the morning.

AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari, who is the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Solok Seletan Police, was shot by AKP Dadang Iskandar who served as Head of Operations Division.

Based on information, there were 9 shots fired by AKP Dadang Iskandar. Two of them hit the temple and cheek of AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari.

With the severe gunshot wound, AKP Ulil Ryanti Anshari died.
