TikTok Experiments With New Features Similar To Be Real Named TikTok Now In The US

JAKARTA - TikTok has started rolling out a trial of a new feature called TikTok Now. This feature is said to be able to help you connect more and present more ways to be creative with friends.

"TikTok Now is the latest way to be entertained and connected to others on TikTok, a daily photo and video experience to share your most authentic moments with the most meaningful people," the company wrote in its announcement Thursday, September 15th on Twitter.

The company says that TikTok Now will invite you and your friends to capture what you're currently doing using your front and rear cameras.

So, later you will receive a daily request to record a 10-second video or static photo to share what you plan to do easily.

This feature looks similar to the features in a rock application called BeReal. BeReal will invite users to take random front and rear camera photos every day.

This feature is designed to capture more authentic images of what your friends do all day.

Currently, this social networking company is experimenting with TikTok Now over the coming weeks in several countries.

In the United States, TikTok Now can be accessed via the TikTok app. But in other areas, TikTok Now may also be available as the new TikTok Now app.

The company admits that TikTok Now is designed to take into account the security and privacy of its community. So, when it launches, content creators will be in full control to decide who can see or engage with their content.

They can block other people and choose which comments appear in their content. And if someone finds a behavior they believe violates TikTok Community Guidelines, they can report it for review.

"We will continue to improve the user experience as we learn more about how the TikTok community embraces this new creative format," the company added.
