JAKARTA - Earlier this June, Tweetdeck announced via Twitter that they would be closing the Tweetdeck app for Mac on July 1st. This means, one more day, Mac users will no longer be able to use the application, but can still use Tweetdeck via a browser.

“You can still use TweetDeck on the web and more invitations to try Preview will roll out in the next few months,” Tweetdeck said on Twitter.

TweetDeck is a desktop streamreader application founded by Ian Dodsworth. This application has four social applications that can be enjoyed in one desktop application, including Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, LinkedIn Client.

The reason Tweetdeck is so popular is because Tweetdeck has advanced features. For example in the Twitter app, you can manage multiple Twitter accounts at once, schedule Tweets to be posted in the future, build a collection of Tweets, and much more.

As a Mac user who can no longer use Tweets, it seems that you need to try a similar application, namely Tweeten. According to the app's description, Tweeten is based on TweetDeck which means it offers a powerful column-based interface that helps you keep track of everything happening on Twitter without the need to hit the refresh button.

Additionally, Tweeten improves the design of TweetDeck to offer a much cleaner and intuitive experience. The features provided are almost the same as Tweetdeck.

In Tweeten, you can customize the screen size, profile picture, and more. You can also download videos on your Twitter timelines, Tweeten provides filters to mute unlikable hashtags or accounts, and most importantly, Tweeten is integrated into the macOS Touch Bar, letting you access your most important shortcuts right from your MacBook's touchpad whenever you need them.
