JAKARTA - AT&T customers can now play the hit game Control Ultimate Edition on smartphones, tablets or computers using a white-label version of Google's Stadia technology. AT&T is an international telecommunications company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, United States.
"We're bringing this experience to our customers using Immersive Stream for Games from Google. With high game performance and stunning graphics handled in the cloud, the quality of your connection can make all the difference," AT&T said on its blog.
You only need an AT&T postpaid plan to start playing. After that, you can then go to att.com/PlayNow and enter the phone number and billing zip code associated with your AT&T mobile account.
Control is the second experience AT&T has offered using Stadia technology, which Google is offering under the Immersive Stream for Games brand. AT&T first launched a click-to-play game under the title Batman: Arkham Knight, which launched to AT&T subscribers last year, though only on computers.
"We're extending the gaming experience beyond your computer screen because networks like our AT&T 5G2 can bring high-fidelity AAA games to your phone in your pocket," explains AT&T.
AT&T says the reason for bringing its games to mobile is that thanks to lower lag, faster speeds, and higher capacities, 5G and one-click-play they see an exciting future in gaming, especially on the move.
AT&T's Control offering is also a full game, the company confirmed to The Verge, and since it's the Ultimate Edition, that means you'll get access to all of the game's post-launch content.
