Gearbox Reportedly Has Nine AAA Games Under Development

JAKARTA - Embracer Group, Gearbox currently has nine AAA games under development. Gearbox owner Embracer recently bought three studios from Square Enix along with Tomb Raider and Deus Ex IP revealing the canar in its latest financial report.

In addition, the Embracer Group has also continued its acquisition by involving several well-known companies, one of which is Dark Horse Media.

Dark Horse Media is a medium known for its comic book properties such as 300, Hellboy, Sin City and many more.

"Gearbox continues to scale the organization to deliver on its ambitious growth plans, and there are currently nine AAA games under development," he said.

Citing IGN, there are currently five games published by Gearbox. The first is Homeworld 3, then there is Hyper Breaker, Relic Hunters Legends, Have a Nice Death, and finally, Eyes in the Dark: The Curious Case of One Victoria Bloom.

Embracer overall had a strong year with operating profit increasing by 17 percent. And games like Tiny Tina's Wonderlands from Gearbox perform better than expected.

The latest news from Gearbox is that Perfect World Entertainment, which has also been acquired through Gearbox Entertainment Company since 2021, has officially changed its name to Gearbox Publishing on April 21.
