  2. Here, you can select Take photo to scan a document from the camera or select Choose image to import an image from your Gallery.

Google Lens

Google lens is available in all smartphones. You can use it very easily and quickly.

What you need to do is:

  1. Open Google Lens by clicking on the camera shape to the right of the Google widget on your home screen.
  2. If you want to move text from an image that is already in your gallery, you simply select which image to use.
  3. Otherwise, you simply click on the Camera shape and take a picture.
  4. Then select " Text" at the bottom Then select which text you want to copy.

Text Fairy

Text Fairy is another decent image extraction tool for Android capable of recognizing text from more than 50 languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, French, and many more.

Instructions for text extraction:

  1. Tap the Camera icon to take a picture. Alternatively, tap the Gallery icon to import an image from the Gallery.
  2. Select the part of the image you want to scan. Tap OK to continue.

OCR Text Scanner

OCR Text Scanner has a simplified interface and supports over 55 languages, including English, French, Italian, Swedish, and many more.

Instructions for text extraction:

  1. Tap the Camera icon to scan the document. To import a document from the gallery, tap the Gallery button and then tap the Check icon.
  2. If everything looks fine, tap the Check icon in the next step to get the extracted text.

Scanned Text

Text Scanner has one main purpose and that is to convert images into text. This application has a fairly good ability in terms of scanning printed pages. However, the results of scanning handwritten text are not very promising.

Instructions for text extraction:

  1. Tap the Camera button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Place your phone's camera on the text and tap the Camera button. You can also select an image from the gallery.
  3. Crop the image if you want and tap Scan to convert the image to editable text.
