JAKARTA - The website of the President of Russia, the government, and the lower house of parliament of the State Duma reported by Reuters, was briefly inaccessible to users in Russia and Kazakhstan on Thursday, February 24.

Asked whether the Kremlin website had been hit by a DDoS attack, a Kremlin spokesman told the Interfax news agency that he thought the platform was functioning normally.

It was not immediately clear what caused the problem. Most likely also caused by DDoS actions carried out by certain parties. However, no one is known to have done this. The Russian side also did not accuse anyone of carrying out the attack on them.

But this action could be a response from Ukraine or its allies who retaliated to attack Russia's computer network. DDoS attack itself is a very natural and easy attack to appear on a site.

This attack since two days ago, has also hit the website of the Ukrainian government. The country accused Russia of carrying out DDoS attacks.

This also indicates that online attacks between Ukraine and its allies with Russia are now more open.
