JAKARTA - Apple Inc is targeting around March 8 to unveil cheap 5G iPhones and refurbished iPads. This was reported by Bloomberg News on Friday, February 4, citing sources familiar with the matter at Big Tech from the US.

According to the report, the new iPhone will be the first update to the iPhone SE model in two years and will feature 5G network capabilities, improved cameras, and a faster processor.

Reported by Reuters, Apple last October announced two new MacBook Pro models that run on more powerful internal chips.

With the expected launch still more than a month away, Apple's plans could change in the face of production delays or other changes, the report added. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.

Cupertino, California-based Apple is tackling a global shortage of expensive computer chips and posted record sales during the holiday quarter in January, beating profit forecasts and forecasting the shortfall to narrow.

If it is really able to launch an iPhone that has cheap 5G technology, it is estimated that Apple will be flooded with orders to get their latest product. This of course will further inflate their income coffers in 2022.
