Donald Trump's Truth Social Collaborates With Rumble For Video Service

JAKARTA – Former US President Donald Trump's social media platform TRUTH Social has signed a technology and cloud services agreement with Canadian video platform Rumble Inc. This was said by a source on social media Tuesday, December 14. As part of the agreement, Rumble will deliver videos and streams to TRUTH Social.

Rumble was launched in 2013 by tech entrepreneur Chris Pavlovski as a YouTube-style alternative site. The app is popular with US conservatives looking for alternatives to Big Tech.

His top trending videos include those from conservative commentators Dan Bongino and Dinesh D'Souza, as well as Donald Trump's former White House strategist Steve Bannon. They are also backed by venture capitalist Peter Thiel and author turned US Senate candidate JD Vance through Narya Capital.

On December 1, Rumble said it would go public by merging with blank check firm CF Acquisition Corp VI with an initial firm value of USD 2.1 billion. The combined company will be called Rumble and is expected to be listed on Nasdaq.

According to a Reuters report, the former Donald Trump administration attorney, Michael Ellis, also joined Rumble in November as general counsel and first company secretary.

The announcement from Trump Media and Technology Group came hours after Rumble said it had cut business ties with Tremor International and Unruly Group, companies that Rumble said had sought to censor Dan Bongino's conservative personality.

The company said on December 6 that US Representative Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, would leave Congress to become chief executive officer of the new venture, and would take up the role in January.

Nunes has been a staunch supporter of Donald Trump Trump, who voted against certifying Democratic Joe Biden's 2020 election victory following Trump's false claims of 2020 US election fraud.
