Rows Of New Google Maps Features, Making User Activities Easier

JAKARTA - Google Maps has just added the ability to help users monitor how busy and busy a store, supermarket or restaurant is before visiting.

The feature, dubbed Area Busyness, is intended to prevent users from crowding, and avoid long queues. To try it out, users need to search for a location to see a graph that shows how busy the place is in real time.

This allows the user to see when the entire map area is filled with people. This new feature is already available on Android and iPhone. Later, Google Maps will move around the map to find general areas, such as the city center, riverside, or ancient city nearby.

If the user is looking for a location and the area is very crowded, then Google Maps will show this is a "Busy Area", and when the user clicks for more details, it can show the word "Very busy."

Citing CNET, Sunday, December 5, in addition to the Area Busyness feature, users can also view a directory of malls, airports and transit stations via Google Maps. This feature can help prevent users from running around the airport, trying to find a place to eat, or buying last-minute souvenirs before catching a flight. This feature will tell users the opening hours of the store or restaurant and their location.

Interestingly, now Google Maps can also book reservations in advance through the application without calling the restaurant. Google Maps can help users book lunch or dinner reservations.

It's easy, open Maps then tap the Restaurant button at the top of the map to see a list of places to eat. Select the desired restaurant, and in the window that appears, book a table or join the waiting list.

Lastly, users can also use Google Maps to notify families of their whereabouts when they are late for an event. It's easy, open Google Maps, tap the profile icon in the upper right corner and tap Share location.

Select Share location and choose who you want to share your location with and how long you want to share it. Click Share and Google Maps will send the location to everyone selected. If you want to see someone else's location, tap the person's icon at the top of the window, then click Request.

This feature can also make it difficult for those, who don't like it if their whereabouts are known to others, to be exposed.
