Easy Ways to Stop Google from Knowing Your Location Via Smartphone

Not only monitoring your current location through Google Maps, the California-based company often sees your travel history from points on Google Maps.

How to Delete Location History

To delete the travel history that you have done and stored on Google, users can go to the myactivity.google.com page to find out your travel history stored by Google.

Next, select the "Location History" menu, and select "Manage Activity". In the next section, the user can scroll down and look for the "Timeline" section.

After that select the location history you want to delete by selecting one of the locations section, then click delete by selecting the available trash can icon.

Stop Location Tracking

In addition to deleting the location history you visit from Google, users can also stop tracking your location while using their products, such as Maps, Chrome, and more.

However, you can stop Google tracking by pausing Google Web and App Activity by going to myactivity.google.com.

Next, select the "Web & App Activity" menu, then click "Manage Activity", and click the disabled icon on the "Web & App App Activity" menu.

On the next page, you will see a warning page explaining what will happen after you pause tracking your web and app activity on Google.

If you don't have a problem with the warning, users can click "Pause" to stop Google tracking your activity location.
