Both Sega and Microsoft refer to this project as a “Super Game”, and will use the Azure cloud platform to develop the project. The project was designed to create a community-centric online title based on an existing franchise.

This plan was actually announced last May during an investor event. At that time, they said that the results of this large-scale project would be realized around fiscal year 2026.
