Tottenham Discharges Nuno Espirito Santo!

JAKARTA - Tottenham Hotspur announced the discharge of Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa, and Antonio Dias via the club's official website on Monday.

"I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff want to be successful and I regret that we had to take this decision," Fabio Paratici, Managing Director of Football, said.

“Nuno is a real gentleman and will always be welcome here. We want to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them all the best for their future."

In the Premier League last week, Tottenham Hotspur lost 0-3 at home to Manchester United which frustrated supporters and shouted at the team.

After this match, Nuno said he was reluctant to discuss his future with Tottenham and emphasized that he would work even harder to improve the situation.

"We are not on the right track. I totally understand this criticism. This is part of football. When the team doesn't perform well, the fans suffer. The fans are not happy, they show they are not happy," explained Nuno, launching Antara.

"It's up to us how to deal with this, tell them we are trying our best, tell them we are sorry for not being able to perform as they wanted. We keep trying. And in the most friendly way ask them to support us in the future."

It is known that currently, Tottenham Hotspur sits in 8th place in the Premier League and has lost two important matches against West Ham and Manchester United. In addition, Tottenham also had to swallow a narrow defeat against Vitesse Arnhem in the Conference Cup.

In Tottenham's last six appearances in the Premier League, they recorded four defeats and only managed to win five wins from 10 matches that have been played so far this season.
