The Team's Attack Line Becomes The PSIS Coach's Spotlight After Draw Score Against Bali United

JAKARTA - Week 10 of the 2021 Indonesian Liga 1 requires PSIS to visit the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman to face Bali United. After this match, PSIS coach Ian Gillan highlighted his team's attack line which was considered to still need to be sharpened again.

Ian Gillan's record cannot be separated from the acquisition of PSIS which only shares one point with Bali United. In the match which was held on Sunday, 31 October, PSIS closed the match with a 0-0 result. This achievement made Bali United shift to sixth place in the standings and PSIS pushed to third position.

Despite being able to rise to the top, Ian Gillan feels that his team is still not performing optimally. The Scottish-born coach noted that the PSIS attack line still had to be improved in order to achieve better results in the upcoming match.

"The front line is not good, we made a few chances but none of them turned into goals," said Ian Gillan commenting on his squad's performance in a press statement after the game.

Despite getting an unsatisfactory result in the match against Bali United, Ian Gillan is aware of which points will be addressed in the team. Moreover, he also did not deny that his team's performance this time was influenced by several of his players who were still undergoing post-injury recovery.

"We will fix everything and it should be noted that some of the forwards have just recovered from injuries such as Bruno Silva and Hari Nur," he added.

Finally, although the coach gave a minus note in the attack line, he also did not turn a blind eye to the slick appearances of the defenders who also helped to withstand Bali United's attack in this match. Ian Gillan hopes that after this the PSIS attacking line players can perform even better.

"I hope that in the future the front lines will be more creative and offensive, like the defense that is already solid and compact," he said.
