Salernitana Vs Napoli: Drama Of Two Red Cards, Partenopei Steal 3 Points From Arechi

JAKARTA - Napoli brought home three points from Salernitana after winning 1-0 in the 11th week of the Italian League which was marked by two red cards at the Arechi Stadium, Salerno, early Monday.

Launching Antara, Piotr Zielinski scored the only goal that decided Napoli's victory when he broke the deadlock in the 61st minute.

Zielinski initially fired in a cross that Andrea Petagna tried to finish, but the ball still hit the crossbar before creating chaos inside the Salernitana penalty area.

Mario Rui attempted to fire but missed, and Zielinski then swiftly grabbed a wild ball to find the home net.

Eight minutes after that goal, Salernitana had to lose Grigoris Kastanos who was given a red card after violating Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.

Instead of taking advantage of the unequal situation, Napoli instead joined in to finish the match with ten men after Kalidou Koulibaly also received a red card for his foul on Simy in the 76th minute.

The loss of a player did not stop both teams from slackening their attacks and Salernitana almost equalized through Stefan Strandberg's header which was unfortunately denied by goalkeeper David Ospina in the 85th minute.

In contrast Napoli twice almost killed the game early if Eljif Elmas and Fabian Ruiz's shots were not stopped by goalkeeper Vid Belec.

Even so, Napoli still brought home the full three points after keeping the score 1-0 over Salernitana until dispersed.

Napoli has solidified their position at the top of the standings with 31 points, while Salernitana (7) has not moved from 19th, according to the Italian League's official website.

The two teams play again on Sunday, November 7 when Napoli host Verona at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium and Salernitana travel to the Olimpico against Lazio.

Three days earlier Napoli will first fly to Poland to play the Europa League match against Legia Warszawa.
