JAKARTA - PSSI through the Disciplinary Committee has promised to thoroughly investigate the alleged match-fixing in Liga 2 2021 reported by the Perserang club. They are ready to give strict sanctions if this is proven.

"We are not playing games and will solve the problems that tarnish the name of Indonesian football," said PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi, quoted by Antara from PSSI's statement on Thursday night.

Perserang reported the alleged match-fixing in several Liga 2 2021 to PSSI. According to the manager of Babay Karnawi, the practice of match-fixing is suspected of involving outsiders.

"Some people have contacted a number of Perserang players to make Perserang lose the match against RANS Cilegon FC, Persekat Tegal and Badak Lampung FC," said Babay.

Regarding this, the Perserang management through an official statement stated that they had dishonorably dismissed five players, namely the initials EDS, FE, EJ, AS and AIH as well as the head coach of the PW team.

However, on their Instagram account, @perserang.official, Perserang announced that coach Putut Widjanarko had resigned, while five players namely Eka Dwi Susanto, Fandy Edy, Aray Suhendri, Ivan Julyandhi and Ade Ivan Hafilah were released based on the results of the first round evaluation of Liga 2 2021. .

PSSI itself has received a report from Perserang and will immediately conduct an inspection.

"We will investigate and first summon the reported parties for questioning. This will of course be within the realm of the Disciplinary Committee," said Yunus Nusi.

PSSI Disciplinary Committee Chair Erwin Tobing also ensured that his party would give severe punishment for the perpetrators who were proven to be involved.
