Breaking The Rules, Ronaldo's House In Portugal Is Demolished

JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo owns a luxury house worth 2.7 million euros in Portugal - especially Geres. However, now part of the house must be demolished. Why?

Launching MARCA, Thursday, October 29, the house belonging to the Manchester United star had to be demolished because Ronaldo did not comply with the rules.

The local mayor, Manuel Tibo, lashed out at Ronaldo because the star went beyond the limits of the permit he had given him.

"He gave us the approved project," Tibo said. "But then he also builds beyond the allowed limits."

Authorities have given Ronaldo a deadline until March to adapt the house to the regulations.

There was no further explanation regarding the details of the rules that Ronaldo violated. However, it is said that tennis courts and building expansion are prohibited by the local government.

This is not the first time Cristiano has dealt with incumbents over building permit violations. Not long ago, he had to remodel the terrace of his other house in Lisbon for breaking the rules.

There are reports that Cristiano has sold the house to Pepe, another former Real Madrid player and his Portugal team-mate.

However, authorities confirmed that the house was still in his name.
