Luuk De Jong Is Confident That He Has Different Qualities From Other Barca Strikers: I'm Tall, My Headers Are Good

JAKARTA - Barcelona's new striker Luuk de Jong admits that he is different from other strikers currently owned by the Blaugrana.

Quoted from Antara from Football Espana, Monday, De Jong said this because he has a tall posture and good header.

"I'm different from the other strikers in the group. I'm tall and I'm good with my head", said de Jong.

Furthermore, the 31-year-old striker also admits he will not be the first choice in Barcelona's attack and will not play in every game.

Even so, De Jong knows that coach Ronald Koeman is aware of this because they have worked together in the Dutch national team, and he believes the Dutchman knows that one day he will need players with height and aerial duel strength.

"I know I won't be playing every game, but Koeman knows me well from the national team, and he knows he needs players for the last minute with height and power in aerial matches, although I also have other qualities".

However, De Jong admitted that he currently feels amazing to be a Barcelona player, and can't wait to start his journey with the Blaugrana squad.

"It's amazing to be a Barcelona player. I'm excited to get started", explained de Jong.

Luuk de Jong came to Barcelona at the end of last summer's transfer window from Sevilla on loan until June 2022.

During his uniform for Sevilla, Luuk de Jong has recorded 94 appearances and scored 19 goals and 5 assists in all competitions since his arrival from PSV Eindhoven in July 2019.
