Sad News From Badminton, Mohammad Ahsan's Father Dies

JAKARTA - Sad news came from the national men's doubles badminton player Mohammad Ahsan. His father, H Tumin Atmadi, reportedly died in Palembang, South Sumatra.

According to Antara, the information was first shared by uploading the PBSI South Sumatra Instagram account on Monday, August 9.

In the upload, it is known that the late H Tumin was an active figure in the badminton sport during his lifetime.

Ahsan's expertise in the sport of tepok bulu was also obtained thanks to the direction of his father, said a statement from PBSI Sumsel.

Information on the death of Ahsan's father was also uploaded by the wife of the world number two badminton player, Christine Novitania via Instagram Story.

The upload also features a wedding photo of Ahsan and Christine flanked by the parents of the bride and groom.

However, until now, the badminton player who is paired with Hendra Setiawan has not responded to calls or short messages from Antara as confirmation.

Ahsan is known to have only returned to his home one day after completing his isolation period after returning from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
